HAH sorry man, I really hope I don't get one of those *knock on wood*
Don't they give you a before and after shot of the light on yellow and red with your car in both pictures? |

Get the deflective spray on your rear license plate. Guaranteed no tickets (atleast what the company says)

But yeah, I hate those things. When I lived in San Diego there was one that snagged multiple cars pretty much every time it turned red. Just the way the intersection was designed forced you to slam on your brakes if you even thought it was going to turn yellow. Needless to say, I went the long way to work. |

Yeah, Mythbusters tried all of the products out there plus some they made up and they could not trick the camera with any of them:iono:

Yes, and i'm glad they did or else I would have already wasted my money getting some type of deflective device.

You were caught RED handed, but at least the car looked good from the back!
And usually when they send the photos with a ticket to you, they have already confirmed you ran the light or rolled through the intersection when they reviewed it. Otherwise, they'll just toss the photos and ticket if you indeed did cross on yellow. |

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice haha
About the plate covers, I personally do not believe on them either and I DID see the Mythbusters episode, but for what I remember they tested it at street level, this cam is looking at ya from a high angle, so one of those gimmicks might actually work on certain traffic cams |

Escort 9500ix would have prevented that. I just got mine in last week and it has already pointed out a couple of red light cameras that I hadnt noticed yet.

The deflective plate generally doesn't help either, because most camera systems also get the front plate, as well as a decent shot of your face as you drive by. It got a nice shot of wife last year when she got hers. It was alittle closer to yellow than the OP here, so I fought it by mail, lost, but did get the fine cut down significantly.

I rather one one of those as compared to looking at the motorcycle cop today as I pass by and his radar clicks in. Too late. Ticket for 40 in a 35. Can you believe it?

NV being short changed from lowered property tax, I would put it pass the cops trying to raise more revenue.

Decent lawyer should get you off, it was unsafe to stop on such short notice and in that distance, you would end up stopped in the middle of the intersection which would be very dangerous. Or you could say a friend or family was driving (living abroad) who don't ever intend to come visit you. Get them to write a letter stating they were driving at the time.
The law is a joke, you can laugh in it's face! |
