What does "DSC OFF" warning look like?

When my 08 135i was new the "DSC OFF" warning light was a yellow triangle, and the low-tire indicator simply read "Low Tire," but after a recent software update the DSC warning became a skidding car and the low-tire warning pointed to the specific tire in question.

Sometime last year I got the PPK installed, and while I still have the updated low-tire warning, the DSC warning went back to the original yellow triangle.

I'm curious as to what the DSC warning looks like for people with the newest software update, and whether it's different for people with the PPK installed. I read in one thread it was changed back for everyone but wanted to get a few different opinions.

New DSC icon... (I thought someone said that this icon means you have the 1M DSC program and later SW updates have gone back to the old yellow circle/arrow icon. ?

PS: My SW was updated back in the Spring of 2011 and that is when I saw these new icons. I also got stuck with the anti-tuner SW from BMW and had the dreaded "lag" sw that causes it. I then had a German tune flashed onto my car. I've been a happy camper ever since. I really hated BMW "lag" SW update.

So if my car got the new SW would it be listed in the service papers I received? I just glanced but didn't see anything specifically saying it was updated so I can't be sure.

Nope, that is up to your dealership. You can always call them and ask for specifics though and they should tell you.
