I am still using a rear facing car seat but have also had a fitting done for a convertible seat I will use at a later time. A Peg Perego convertible has a small profile and will likely be the one I use. For now, we are doing great with our 2.5 month old in the Orange (!!!) Cybex Aton Q. No issues at all and I install the seat behind the drivers side. My wife likes to sit in the back with the baby.... |

my trunk has been a bit full lately with baby stuff....it's wild! It's still funny to me how people are in disbelief that i use this as a 'family car'...everyone told me it wasn't possible at my work....well they were wrong!!! the same way I was told I can't use a 1M as a daily driver!! All nonsense! these cars are amazingly practical IMO |

I'm in the same boat with my little one who is turning 1 this week and we just found out we have another on the way. I'm starting to think a minivan is in my future.

It gets better once they go forward facing. I have a three year old and it's livable. I even have her trained to remove her shoes so the seat back doesn't get scuffed up.

i am waiting for the Cybex Sirona to hit the market but it's taking forever to get to the US. Will make a note of your findings when we have to switch to a Convertible soon! thanks for the feedback. |

Hats off to the guys who have rear facing seats. While it is a little painful, but the love for driving the car you enjoy should overcome the pain experienced maybe twice a day at most. Life is short. Drive what you enjoy and adapt to the situation. Even though I have a E90 M3, the two door-135 does not stop my 7 and 5 year old boys from chanting, "floor it" every time they get in it. They love the torque, and Dad loves to push it (within reason) more than even the E90. Everyone told me the same, you will sell the coupe because you will end up driving the four door M3 all the time. Well that did not happen, and I now am lucky enough to have the best of both worlds, na screamer, AND torque monster.

I moved from Maryland to California and everything I owned was packed into my 135is. Heavily overloaded (not to mention blowing a shock) but still managed to get a steady 28mpg. Would do again.

I moved in and out of my dorm and back in a month ago all in one trip each time. I don't bring much but still pretty happy with the dimensions
