Ugh, not this again - it has an electronic approximate of an LSD (it's brakes the free wheel using software and the ABS system).

For those of us who have been on the forum since the beginning, this can get old can't it?

in other forums i'm on, the mods would just tell the guy to "search" and lock the thread.

however, i like that the mods here break up fights really quick. on the other forums they let the flame wars go on and on. just as useless as another lsd thread.

LOL that s me driving the blackone

A 135i will drift and the black 135i had the e diff.

I have a 135i white and mounted an mechanical lsd.

The ediff is enough it s 70% from a real LSD but i wanted the last 30% also so i bought a real LSD mechanical.

Yeah, but... Ferrari's e-Diff is nothing like the e-Diff in our 135s.

Ferrari's e-Diff is an electronically-controlled locking differential.

Our e-Diff is an open differential that uses ABS to redistribute torque.

Well the Scuderia is also 1/4 million bucks. Our e-diff is pretty good for the cash we pay.

Sure, I'm not arguing the relative value of each. Just saying they are completely different in operation, and not comparable.

IMO, the e-diff in the 135i is not seamless in operation, and does involve an interruption in power delivery. Better than nothing, but not as good as a true mechanical LSD.
