Good job to give your rims the gunmetal treatment.

That wheel color is just so spot on! And gloss/piano black interior is exactly what the car needs inside, a bit more quality look around those plastics. Congratulations.

Thanks for the kind comments.

The wheel colour I shamelessly stole the idea from RSMatt I loved them on his VO 1M and thought they'd look good on my AW

The gloss black interior I shamelessly stole the idea from Aussie, so can't take credit for that. But again I'm really happy with the results.

The midpipe certainly gives the car a deeper rumble and it burbles more now which is nice. It also feels a bit sharper in throttle response.

The steering wheel I really love as well as for whatever reason it feels more involving when you drive the car.

All in all I'm really pleased with it

Are the tq numbers wheel or not? seems like a vast improvement over stock with just n55 midpipes.

Forgot to ask (and can't be bothered to search all forums!) but did you stick with OEM alcantara on the wheel or did you source a lighter one?

He is with DMS tune, check the OP list of mods and I think they are crank numbers.

I understand he has a tune but those numbers seem high for crank from what I have seen from others.

The numbers I believe are at the crank and have been verified on two separate dynos. My stock figures were slightly above BMW's claimed numbers so the difference isn't as big as it might seem, although good nonetheless.

I haven't re-dyno'd the car since having the midpipe installed but I will get around to doing it in time.

No I stuck with the oem colour. To be honest I thought that a lighter colour would show the dirt more (not that I'm a dirty person mind you ) and I can't say that it looks out of place in the car

I agree--torque figure seems huge for only a tune and does not seem to correspond to what DMS is getting according to website with other N54's (they don't list 1M.)

I don't know why they don't list the 1M on their site but the torque figure increase is in line with some of their other cars. My stock torque was 402 lb/ ft btw so the increase is 82 lb/ft and remember here in the UK we quote flywheel figures and not RWHP!

Other DMS remapped cars have posted similar results as well. Still this is off topic as I posted pictures of my recent mods I'll have to get a better photo of the wheels as they have a really nice fleck in them when the sun hits them
