DME Software Version
I am currently getting some services done and would like to know how can tell what software version the DME is currently at?
Will this be printed on the sheets after the tech reads my key? And what should this software version number look like? Thanks |

are you at Elite or Otto's? i have an appointment with Otto's on 13th and hopefully they'll be able to update me to the latest DME as my DCT idle lag is terrible!
I always go and see Krszystof. treats me well and he's a very nice guy. i highly suggest seeing him if you deal with Otto's. |

At Otto's today getting some work done...
I also asked them to check the RPM surge from 500 to 1100 RPM's.... I have the PPK1 currently and it still has that annoying bottom end lag and the surge issue mentioned in other posts... |

Please let me know the outcome after your service. I hope that they're able to update the DME software for you and that it resolves the idle rpm surging weirdness.

So they were able to recreate the problem and they adjusted the idle only... No software upgrade... I will monitor the issue to see if it comes back....

No, but so far so good with no surging and the annoying lag appears to have been corrected. I will keep you posted as I monitor the issue..... Does SIB apply to all vehicles, for example cars with PPK's installed??????

car is now in the shop and getting the DME software update. at the same time, they're replacing my faulty AC evaporator which explains why my AC has never felt cool.
i should be getting my car back on thursday so i can't wait to feel how the car will run with the new software... and of course, cool blowing AC! |

got my car back. they updated the DME software.
idling issue is now gone and transmission downshifts with a/c turned on is now silky smooth. i am happy again! my a/c is also blowing good cold air. my only complaint is that the dash had to be taken apart to replace my a/c evaporator. i don't think the technicians did a very good job re-installing my dash as i hear many creeks and squeaks every now and then. |

A quick call to your dealer tomorrow should answer the question. It would be great to know since you are the most recent person to have their DME updated :-)
