Itīs a 335. Everybody is saying M3 just because itīs more spectacular to state you have pictures of the upcoming M3. Thereīs more media echo that way. That doesnīt make it any more true. The M will most certainly have more distinguishing features. Even the E46 M3 didnīt come with 17inch wheel. 18inches were the minimum for summers. Expect to see a more distinct exhaust (probably 4 tubes), somewhat flared fenders, a different front spoiler and some other bells and whistles on the M3. These pcitures are 1) Mostly old. The lower ones have been around for months 2) Most likely of a 335 mule.

Those inside pics are NOT from the California car... those are from a few months back.
New Photos: Nice to see the 335 uncovered in a sedan form. But for some reason it just doesn't look good. Perhaps it's the photos angle or it unfinished, but "something" is missing. Also, this is definatly not an ///M is doesnt have the traditional fender air dam...! I wish the spy would've followed the car longer and got more photos. -Garrett |

The inside pics are from the same car. Look at the license plates from all three sets of photos (the camera phone, the roadfly, and the older bimmerfest ones showing the inside). They are all of the SAME car

Thats clearly the turbo pressure boost gauge above and this must be a petrol/gas powered car based on rev counter to 7k! Has to be 335i turbo? |

I have a question for all the americans.. In sweden we could goto a webpage, use SMS, or telephone to Vägverket (road.. something). Here are all registered swedish cars saved. And i could look up the registration plate nr, and get info about who owns the car, what type of car it is etc. Isnt this something you could do in the US? I mean the number is highly visable at the pictures?

If you worked at the DMV (department of motor vehicles) you could but it is not considered public information here in the states so it can not be accessed by the public as easy as in Europe

Yeah, if your a police officer. The license plates in america are tied to ALOT of information, because when you register your car it has EVERYTHING. So no, there is no public place. plus EVERy state has a different system and plate. |

Okey.. i see! Thanks for the info guys. The plates are tied to alot of information here in sweden too. Even the adress of the person, social security number etc.
So, noone has a police friend who could look it up if it says something about 335i in the registration? |

Is the 335i going to be a twin-sequential-turbo, supercharged or may be its like this engine from VW:- "The Turbo- and Supercharged Car". Yes its has both!!!!!!!!!
Could this be the technology on the 335i??? Hence the rumours on turbo'ed vs supercharged See here for more .... http://www.popsci.com/popsci/automot...cbccdrcrd.html |

One small turbo, one big turbo, no superchargers (actually turbos are a subcategory of superchargers, but usually supercharger means driven by the crank while turbo means driven by exhaust)

Of course it is a 335 turbo being tested. That does not tell us much, if anything, about whether it will be released in the US. The euro options on the mule might even suggest otherwise.

I wouldnt be surprised though if we do see some E90 test mules running around sometime soon. Im not saying those pics are of the M3, but I would expect it to start testing sometime soon, and it would probably use the E90 chassis for testing...

I would lean away from it being an M3 just due to the rear tire width. They seem very skinny and non-staggard. The stagger is usually visible in pics of the E46 and I don't see them going away from that.

It makes no sense to me that BMW is testing the 335 in Cali. I think these pictures are either photoshoped or of a vehicle with aftermarket mods.

Ok if BMW is tryin to test under extreme conditions then these picsture must be old (as in back in the summer) because the weather in CA does not get that hot this time of year
