Back on topic....
Who here is interested in polishing their car with the random orbital? I need to determine if I should order some more polishing pads and/or polish....

How long does something like that take? Like how long for one car, how long for everyone's car if we decide to do an assembly line?

If you're washing, polishing and sealing each car count on minimum 2-3 hours per car with 2 people working on it.

Wow. OK, well, we can skip my car for sure, I don't mind. I want to make sure anyone who wants to have all that done can get it done
I'm available as free labor for anyone that needs it. |

I am a huge fan of the Prima brand of detailing products from http://www.detailersparadise.com -- their dual-pile microfiber towels are the best, as is their quick detailer and "epic" sealant.

I think a wash, polish, and wax will probably take 2 hours with 2 people working simultaneously. If just washing and machine waxing, probably just 1 hour.

I think if we all work together it'll be really fast, like 2-3 per car for wash and 2-3 for drying and 2-3 for car for polish and wax. and maybe we can all chip in for washing supply, and wax, I'll share my glacier for white cars, I'd say it'll wax 2-4 cars (I hope) but the rest we can all chip in for.
and when we're almost done maybe 2-3 people can start the fire and get the bbq going and enjoy the rest of the party? |

Sounds like a plan. Like I said, we can skip my car, so that should speed things up. I'll also try to figure out how to marinade the chicken. Any suggestions?

I just figured we could start at 10:30, you're welcome to come later. Proabably best so as to stagger out the washing. I live in NH, "It's not like we're stuck in Appalachia around [here]. That's like 10 miles west of here" lol

To be fair, Rachel, that list is mostly focused on food we're each bringing, not car wash stuff.
And for the car was stuff, I don't have anything special, but I'll bring it anyway. I'm sure one if you will protest though if I say "soap is soap" amy! |
