BMWUSA.com has changed 1M options...

BMWusa.com has changed its Build Your Own options by making Bluetooth inextricably linked to the Premium Package.

Before you could opt for Bluetooth as a standalone, now if you check the box, it automatically adds the entire Premium Package.

Furthermore, the iPod/USB adaptor option has disappeared altogether.

Anyone know what's going on with this?

Yah SA told me that I needed to get the Premium package just for bluetooth... I wasn't going to shell out 2500$ for just bluetooth!

Wow, just noticed that too, however I see BMW assist w/ BT as a standalone option. BMW Apps is also completely gone?

Considering how many states have outlawed driver use of handhelds, it's shocking that this isn't included in the base price of the car.

A week ago a different view on the new options was given to me:

6FL USB/IPOD is now bundled with Bluetooth (without assist) and is now called stand alone option 7H9 and still cost as much as 6FL used to: $400,-. Which I think is a god's gift as I do want Bluetooth and USB and absolutely no assist. Compared to before you now get bluetooth for free.

Pester your CA's till they yield the above view, happy hunting

It was given last year for 135 so I would say it's not impossible

The stripper in canada comes with bluetooth, ipod connect, and heated seats. Gotta get a package to get the harmon kardon, but that's something I can live without.

Foregoing heated seats in Canada would be like foregoing AC in Mississippi.

Nope. I live in YK, but my car lives in Saskatchewan at a friend's garage. I nearly brought it up but decided against it. There isn't really anywhere to drive plus it hits -1 million in the winter. The long distance relationship sucks.

It does have the polar bear plates, though. The only one in the world. Probably should take some pics next time I'm down south.

Kinda like this:

Dammit. Wish I hadn't seen that.

I'm not really bothered with things like vanity plates, but now I really, really want a polar bear plate!

Makes sense...must be tough having a long distance relationship with your car. Maybe you could drive the 1M on the lake during the winter?

I only get to drive mine 50 days a year and spend the other 315 days, 7000 miles away from it
