Anyone here previously owned an E90 M3?
I am contemplating selling my E90 M3 and picking up a 2011+ DCT equipped 135. Just wondering if anyone else has done it and what are their impressions.
Also, did BMW through the years do anything to reduce the infamous understeer that was known to accompany the early model 135s? IF so, which year did they fix the issue. TIA |

Yes, I had an E90 (2009 year) M3 for about a year. I have had my 2012 E82 135i MSport DCT for about the same time, just short of a year.
To date, I actually prefer owning the 135 because: - just as much fun in town (maybe more) as the M3, - on the hiway, the M3 could outrun the 135i, but both are at totally illegal speeds then anyway, so unles you are on a track, somewhat useless. - much cheaper to buy and run the 135. - the low end torque of the 135 N55 engine is actually, for me, more a "kick" than the raw hp of the M3. - I actually prefer the smaller size of the 135. It feels and is lighter. Everyone has their own feelings about these two cars, but that's my personal assessment. YMMV.
