Camera & sensors for 135i convertible without iDrive
Where would you go to install sensors and a cam in a 2011 135i convertible without idrive? I assume this is not a job for Car Toys?
I have heard there may be issues resulting from this type of installation (battery, warning lights etc). Opinions? |

No iDrive means no LCD screen correct? So I assume you would naturally have to buy separate hardware, which in that case any 3rd market stuff would be fine.

Looking for good solution also since I don't have LCD screen built-in. Any option for bluetooth back-up cam that works with phone? I use my phone as GPS already.

Dash kits are sold that will fit a double din radio, and all the factory controls. All of it comes out with a factory type finish. In aftermarket double din radios you can get gps, backup camera, and sat radio. It can be set up to still use your steering wheel controls.

There are GPSs that can accept a backup camera input. There are also after market reverse mirrors that can have a backup camera display. I'm not sure how hard it would be to install the new reverse mirror. Garmin GPSs can be mounted on a BMW mount.
