Yesterday was excellent turbo weather in my area. A friend needed a favor. I ended up driving my garage queen a little over 200 miles. Such a fun car to drive!!

Boy, this group/thread is dying.... must be Winter!
Still enjoying mine, but it's filthy from the much needed California rain - No complaints, but no new pics from me.

Where are the IEDEI Winter snow donuts pictures when we need them?!

Come out to NJ or Westchester and I'll join you. Good driving roads in Queens is like finding a trustworthy BMW dealership, does not exist!

Car is in the garage on the battery tender, but ready for duty with winter wheels/tires installed. For true winter conditions I tend to drive my wife's AWD compact SUV ... I'd rather somebody run into the Toyota than the 135is.

I recently hit 19K miles. A very squeaky armrest was replaced under warranty in the fall, and I'm #2 on my dealer's wait list for an M2 build allocation. I have time to decide whether or not I really want to part with the 135is, which has been a fantastic daily driver.

Is the new one quiet, and what did they change so that the replacement isnt also squeaking in 6 months?

Actually, the original arm rest started squeaking shortly after delivery. I kept it quiet with liberal amounts of tire shine as lubrication. Once the latch mechanism somehow became detached internally from the arm rest assembly, BWM ended up replacing the entire arm rest cover (51-16-7-124-592, item #1). They had to disassemble the hinge to remove the arm rest. I don't know if they 'cleaned' the parts of the hinge that didn't get replaced, but it isn't squeaking yet. To your point, I'm sure I'll need to re-lube the hinge in a couple of months.

Did your dealer remove the dead mouse that was the source of the squeaking in the first place?

They did, but he wasn't quite dead yet. His final words were a series of whiny squeaks about how the M2 won't have M mirrors or a CF roof. He then squeaked that it won't have an M button and stopped breathing.

Do not forget about the M2's lack of a mechanical LSD and a pretty carbon fiber strutbar in the engine bay.

I was #1 on the wait list to order an M2, but took my name off when I saw it doesn't get M mirrors. I just don't see the point then.
