Importing to US

Has anyone have any experience with this before?
I know about the forms and fees and such, and I'm most likely going to have to do this sometime soon..I'm mostly unsure about the modded parts on the car. Do I have to put on oem parts during the process? Do they do a visual inspection at the entry port?
Any help would be great!

As long as the car is US Spec, has the emissions plate & a copy of the Certificate of Origin.

You may have to pay an import tax if the car has never been registered in the United States. You will also have to pay a sales tax usually calculated on the presumptive value and your states tax rate.
