A sad day
Well went to Frankfurt and shipped the beast through the program. Almost had a tear...haha. Anyways I think I saw about half a million + in cars on there shipping lot. 2 M6's, 2 6 series, 1 M5, 1 B7 Alpina....wish I had my camera. Pretty quick and simple process by the way.

Truthfully I found it quite less of a pain. The place is easy ti find by GPS and the fee's are minimal, even though the Milside is totally free for one. There in a village just south of the Airport. They do a walk around and check fuel etc, in all it it was a a painless qiuck process, may 20 minutes.

I think as long as you are the original owner of a new BMW... BMW AG pays to ship your car back to the states. And it gets there in just a few weeks. Instead of MANY weeks via the military shipper.

it may also apply to the second owner, so long as you have the certificate of origin and proof of ownership. Bargain basement BMW was full of "surprises" including, home shipping when I called PCS & the shipper here in Stuttgart to confirm this. I think the cut off was six years....crazy.
