The 'slighty more aggressive note' was what I was after. Maybe this will grow on me, but first impressions seemed that it was over the top. I had read on here that adding the intake and exhaust can improve the throttle response; would very much like to offload the PBX.
The 125i is a great car imo, but it isnt a 350hp beast. I dont want my car to sound like it is trying to compensate for a missing 135hp. I also like to check all the merchants that ship to Australia for specials; the PE doesnt cost as much as it did 6 months ago. (Lastly, the stock tips were always covered in carbon build up and were always black. Must be all that sulphur that caused BMW not let us have the n53.) |

The N52 straight 6 with the PE is a sweet sounding car. I think it sounds a lot nicer than the 135i PE. I suggest leaving it on for a few weeks before making up your mind so it gives your exhaust a chance to break in. My exhaust note changed over time after I racked up a few km's.

I have heard the PE can sometimes drone in that rpm range. I have a muffler delete and my drone is noticeable but I've become so used to it and the sound it makes when I go WOT and downshift is too sweet to compromise. I think you will find your exhaust will quieten down after you put 1-2k on it.

Just had mine fitted this morning and it sounds exactly the same. Only difference is that I love it, especially the crackle on the overrun

Mine has actually calmed down quite a lot, or I am just more used to it.
I love it too now, but at first was really concered that I had turned my car into 'lancer/excel/civic' type thing as it sounds more powerful than it is. But now, I am finding it difficult to shift anytime before 6000rpm. The perf. intake really does match/suit the exhaust too. Its even harder to drive with the windows closed as the sound is just too sweet. I am amazed at how my opinion has changed. This is a must for the 125i. |

Good to hear you've grown to love it! Sometimes it just takes a bit to get used to a change.

Its expensive but well worth it imo. Say goodbye to any fuel economy you once had as you will have your foot planted all the time.

I just got my muffler from Tischer and the shipping was less than $300 and that was to outside the Brisbane metro area. Took two weeks to arrive. Highly recommend the guys at Tischer.

Pardon my ignorance but what is an AA exhaust? I am thinking of piping up mine in the coming months and am currently debating a cp-E

The AA exhaust is the Active Autowerke exhaust. I have the AA axel back which is a muffler-delete system with a noise-cancellation chamber but I don't think the noise-cancellation chamber works |

You guys happy with your AA? Sounds mint here:
*Edit* But still also considering the cp-E. I have a cousin who is interested in it as well, so if anyone is considering a group buy..
