Anyone wants to take my place at Winton this Sunday?

Hi all, so yesterday another one of my mods arrived. I brought it to Andrew to get it fitted. Then I got a phone call from him this morning. We had a problem, it doesn't fit! After Andrew did some investigation, it appears that we may need a different part from BMW to get this working. Andrew did some ring around and Sydney is the only place that has one of these. What this means is that I will not be able to attend my track day on Sunday at Winton as my car is in pieces. So, anyone interested to do a track day this Sunday at this wonderful track? Alternatively anyone want to lend me their car? :biggrin: Before anyone says "take your other cars", no, that isn't an option unfortunately.

Don't think I didn't think of it stylish. lol. But I don't want to push my friendship with my dealer (BMW Melbourne). They have just agreed (without even having to push - I just requested it) to give me a 7 series, X5 and 5 series for a week during the visit of Malaysian ex-prime minister Dr Mahathir in Oct as their official cars during the visit. They have always been good to me (as I have with them recommending plenty of customers to them). They will lend me a car for a weekend in a flash, but I don't want to take advantage of them.

Yeah the one in Kings Way is part of their dealership, but the main one is on City Rd in Southbank next to one of the entrance of the casino car park (near Eureka tower).

You should really think if you can take the other car. I mean the X3 haha.

Haha would be a laugh to take the X3 there. Hey I have M sport suspension and 19 inch P Zero Rosso on there! Maybe not, I don't want to be a mobile chicane.

Yeah the guy called Ricky in a Golf GTI is the one that replaced me. Adam was pretty good. I emailed him and 30 mins later a revised list went out with my name off and the new guy's name on it.

Anyway, I have booked myself in for 11th Oct. That means I have back to back 10th Oct at Sandown and 11th Oct at Winton. I need to have that Sandown session as it will be a shakedown for the diff and brakes and tyres. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, my track pads are also gone. Was going to replace with the same AMG modified ones but now that I have some time, might get some proper track pads from US. Looks like some are becoming available.

Cool. Mia is not there so I shifted my study room just 200km north on 11th Oct too. But I don't think I can do 10th back to back.
