Bmw Club Border Ranges Run
Just in case of those whow didn't recieve the email from the club for those guests coming along and not in the club here is a bit more info.
Hi All, Sunday the 1st November will be the day of the club annual Border Ranges Run down through the Lions Rd. We will be meeting at 8:00am for an 8:30 sharp departure from the Calamvale Hotel car park on Compton Rd, Calamvale. This is the clubs feature drive day of the year. All members and guests are invited to come and enjoy this magnificent scenic drive through the winding valleys, and over the Border Ranges and into northern NSW. Lunch will be at the Mt Warning Hotel in Uki, followed by the run through Murwillumbah and the Gold Coast hinterland on the way home. For those who have done this drive before, we don't have to say what a great day it is. If you haven't driven this before, don't miss the chance to exprerience probably the most enjoyable drive in our region. This will also be an official drive for the E30 and 6 series registers. We hope to see you all there. So we can gauge numbers for the lunch booking, Please let Ian Solomon, Greg Tymms, or Denis Weisz know if you will be attending. You can look for the above names on the bmw club web site and just let them know if your going to the hotel for lunch. CHEERS Gary

I'll be heading out on this one, I've been looking forward to it. The club members are great to drive with as well (although I'll deny this is you tell anyone I wrote it, Chappy!)

I have stupidly organised a staff meeting on the morning of this! Won't finish till around 8:45am... so maybe I might be able to catch up, is there a second meet point or stop off? Or will it just go all the way from Calamvale?

355 GTS, might hopefully get a AMG 63 along as well; I just hope there's some brotherly bavarian love amongst the BMW club as I've never been before. Last E90 Post cruise was very fast paced for most

Update
hey guys I emailed Denis Weisz who is one of the coordinators of this run asking him for the details of the run, this is what he replied
Hi Warren You and your other forum members are more than welcome to join the run. I would ask if you can give me a rough idea of just how many cars and people will be attending, so we can let the Hotel at Uki know how many to expect. Obviously any guests attending club events are asked to conduct them selves in accordance with club rules. As far as the timing, After the lunch stop the plan is to head back through Murwillumbah and then on the Murwillumbah-Nerang Rd via natural arch back to Nerang. Going directly back through Murwillumbah to Kingscliff and up the Pacific Hwy would take about 2 hours (144 klms) according to Google maps. We are hoping to be at Uki by 11:30am our time, (12:30pm NSW time) so you should have just enough time for a quick lunch. Let me know when you have some rough numbers, Denis Weisz 1addicts I suggest you either email him or confirm if your'e coming and I can email him back with some rough numbers. Xsboost, do you know how many drivers will be attending from e90 post? If you have a rough idea could you let me know and I can include it in my response.
