Performance powekit software only version questions

Hi. Is this the part number for the software only version 11122219489? Can anyone confirm this? I got this number from Real OEM.

I ask because here in South Africa my dealers say BMW requires that we need the addational cooling of the full powerkit. We are considered a hot country and all our 135i\'s have the addational oil cooler.

Is this correct?

Thanks Craig

Here is my thread from yesterday. There is a retrofit for the power kit without the fans and such. I live in Florida and it is considered a hot climate as well. The cars that come here usually have code 823 for hot climate.

Hi Craig,

I googled that part number and found this...

http://www.online-teile.com/mini/pro...t-mit-fsc.html

They just say: BMW Power Kit w/FSC

So... what is FSC ???

It kind of looks like that above part number is just the ECU. Normally BMW ECU's come WITHOUT the SW loaded. So you need to have a BMW download and code the new ECU.

Then I found this...

http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/p...122157665.html

Looks like it is just part of the PPK. ?

Craig - perhaps you should PM Dan at United or Tischer (getbmwparts.com) and ask them. They are the experts on this stuff. Its interesting that this ECU only is for the N55.

Dackel

PS: I remember a 1addicts member from India who was having some problems with his car. His dealer gave him this SW only PPK tune. This was like months ago. Way before BMW NA announced this SW only option on new cars. Let alone a tune for older cars.

Its only part of it because they are offering a retrofit without all the fans and other parts. Its $550

FSC is an enabling code used for programming. They are used to activate things in the car such as new nav updates, Sirius, power kits etc.
