GruppeM has just released a brand new carbon fiber intake system for the N55 3.0L found in the 135i.

The GruppeM intake system includes a redesigned intake tract, constructed of gorgeous carbon fiber. The carbon fiber air ducts pull cooler air from the front grills, which creates a ram air effect. The kit includes a K&N high flow air filter.

GruppeM has enineered this 135i intake system to achieve excellent power gains, and have seen as much as 19.5WHP increases. The area between 3,000 and 4,000 RPM has drastically improved, and no longer suffers from such a dramatic dip in the power curve.

creaminz is the only one crazy enough to buy one. but yes he does have it and yes. it does sound super nice. and yes. I rode in his car many times.

I love the guys at Vivid, but I saw the price for the N54 system and fell down a flight of steps.

Are you referring to the N54 version, or the brand new N55 version I posted? The one I've posted is a few hundred more (MSRP) unfortunately. Keep in mind that a lot of the time, we're able to beat MSRP pricing. MSRP on the N55 version is 218,000 YEN, which at todays exchange rate, is 2827.1330 USD.

Will this fit the 1er? I though the reason no one ran the gruppe intake on the N54 135i was because the snorkel doesn't match up as they designed it for the 335i. Am I wrong?

Edit: nevermid looking at the grills on the first pic it's definitly the 135i.

Correct, this is a BRAND NEW design, built specifically for the N55 engine in the 135i.
