335i + AFE + JB3 dyno

I'm surprised by this outcome:

And here I was already to jump on the AFE train too!

That sound like commercial suicide why would you make it public knowledge that one of your products actually lessens the engines power output!!! Sound like something a competitor would do?

Terry does not make the AFE intake, he does sell his own filter intake.

Other dynos have shown the AFE intake to make an average of 10hp at the wheels. Its just odd that the dyno posted shows the AFE intake loose power.

btw, terry once tested a bunch of different intakes and the result on the dyno was that they all performed not better than stock. he presented the info, even though it showed that his product doesn't make any gains. he did say he was glad that it didn't lose power because the open filament intakes suffer from heatsoak.

my personal take, is that the intake makes a diffirence at higher speeds and may gain you like 8hp, but not 30 that AFE advertises. the fact they advertise this makes me not want to do business with them. it just sounds absurd.

This is funny. They were claiming 30 HP and so many people jumped on the bandwagon. I never thought it was a great design. I still think the Ultimate Racing one is the best that I've seen for this car yet.
