Yes, that is a way better ground because it is a factory ground point. Unless you scraped paint off the point you used, it isnt contacting bare metal and wont work properly. there is also a grounding box about a foot forward of that point along the same wall. It's a bhlack box with about 10 brown wires coming out of it. Make sure if you use that box that you still have good contact for everything or else a ton of other sensors wont have a good ground.
