Seeking gunmetal CSL style wheels for my 1er...
Anyone know a local company who does CSL style rims in a gunmetal finish?
I don't really want to stray from the factory sizes (18x7.5 / 18x8.5), but 19s would definitely look pretty sweet. Would going to 19s would compromise ride comfort significantly? Has anyone put CSL rims on their 1er Downunder?

Yeah, I've spotted this car as well (we actually spotted each other). But I want CSLs in gunmetal, and the only company I know in Melbourne (MSWT in Dandenong) only do them in silver...

I too would like to get good quality wheels in the right offset here locally. Shipment from overseas is very expensive.
Problem you will find is getting wheels with the right offset. Most euro wheels will have offsets to suit the 3 series BMW. Did you try the usual places like Tempe, Ozzy, St George etc in Sydney? |

You won't find CSL's with the right offset anywhere. The closest we have come so far is Alufelgen that has promised to make these wheels in 18's with the right offsets but this has been going on for almost a year now. If these wheels were already available in Australia, we would be shipping them out everywhere as there is huge demand for CSL reps that aren't very aggressive and don't require any fender modifications.

Matt... "Available to purchase", meaning you can pay for them now??? I thought you are still a bit out for production? Not to bust 'em, but are you actually shipping anything these days? I do like the looks of what you will be selling though. |

Thanks Matt and Jurrian for your prompt replies and the information you've provided here.
I'll discuss the options among the rest of the Aussie members and see who's interested in making a purchase. A group buy deal will obviously be a more attractive option as we'll be able to share the cost of shipping. Matt, I look forward to hearing good news regarding the arrival of your first production run, and hopefully see some positive feedback from your American customers, as well as photos. Please keep us informed of any important updates. Aussie members, I've posted a new thread here to see who's interested in a group buy.
