need advice

ordered camber plates seperately from Dinan.

1)I was charged 218 for the camber plates.
2)What arrived was an M3 underdrive pulley valued at 499.
3)Called and informed them of such. I was given RMA # for credit when Item arrived. He informed me that the camber plates would be shipped next day.
4)I was then charged an additional 199 for the camber plates being overnighted (free shipping). I was not informed that this would happen
5)UPS has lost the package of the underdrive pulley.
6)I will not receive credit for the 218 until they receive the pulley.
7)Tracer has been sent out for the package and I will hear back within 3 days. If they dont find it I can open a claim for up to 100$ because I did not purchase insurance on it.

Now.......what do I do?
1)just take the hit for 218 and collect my 100 from ups?
2)contact BoA and go the unauthorized transaction route? As I was not informed and was charged for the same Item twice?
3)Inform them that they actually shipped me a 499$ item. They dont know this yet. and hope they refund me the money for being a good citizen?
4) Both 1 & 2

Although I don't think I was completely able to follow the chain of events above, this wasn't your mistake, you shouldn't have to pay anything additional...

I thought you said you did call them and tell them you got the M3 pulley?

I called them and told them I received a part for an M3. They didnt ask further questions. I pulled option 4. BofA has given me 199$. Investigation will take 30 days

But why the Dinan camber plates? Are the Vorshlags too noisy or something?

I am willing to say that Vorshlag did not do significant testing on their plates on cars with stock spring setup Because they are poorly designed. As a result of this you have excessive noise which can mentally translate to a shitty ride. I would whole heartedly tell you not to purchase vorshlag UNLESS you are purchasing coilovers with smaller diameter springs.

That reminded me of this post:

They mention they are on their 2nd revision and thye still have it wrong. Buy them, you will lose compression travel, droop travel and have the wrong stack height. It is not that hard to measure to meet OEM stock height. The proper camber plate will be 11-13 mm lower than the OEM stock height due to deflection at the isolator.

FWIW, it amazing how many vendors can design bad camber plates as it no that difficult execute a good on.

I agree you shouldn't have to pay anything additional, because you were inconvenienced by their mistake and even better yet you were very honest. Also, if you sent a package, and it didn't arrive, I think Dinan should have to pursue a case with the shipper.

If Dinan shipped you something and they had a tracking number and you just never got it, you would have to file a complaint with the shipper...they are now the recipient and should do the same.

Also, I have the Dinan Plates and M3 arms, and I love them. There is absolutely no additional noise, and the part looks very nicely made. Even though it is non adjustable and somewhat conservative, I think it is perfect for a street driven car that does some track playing. I am running -2.0* camber in the front and the car feels great, and when I checked my tires, the whole width was within 1/16".

Enjoy! (After you get the problem sorted)
