New 135i @ 1000 kms

After a color combo dilemma back in June, I took delivery of my new 135i early this month. I've been pretty busy lately, so these are not the best photos, but I thought hitting the 1000 (km) mark calls for a post...only another 1000 clicks to go before it's all broken in

This is my first manual-shift car, so I'm still learning to work the gears properly. I shall not rest until my shifts are buttery smooth and I can heel-and-toe rings around my brother (truth be told, that will not likely happen soon)

thx! I originally didn't want the premium sound and the PDC but now I'm kinda glad that it has the premium sound. PDC is nice but not really necessary for me

yeah, i was going to get premium sound until i heard it, for $900 you could get a kick ass aftermarket JL system that destroys stock

Before I got the car I was thinking of getting the std sound and the USB/iPOd option, and then replacing the subs under the seat, plus an amp to drive them. The subs+amp would've cost something like CDN$700-800. The premium sound pkg cost $1500 here in Canada and it includes the USB/iPod option, which costs CDN$425 by itself. So I would've saved maybe a few hundred dollars by going the std sound/aftermarket route, and I would've had to have some stereo shop rummage through the interior of my brand new car (*cringe and shrug*)

yeah, luckily i have a shop that handles lamborghinis, ferraris, carrera gts, and the last time they were in there had a 959 porsche doing custom audio. you just have to find the right shop. i can see how it was economical to get the premium sound in canada, but here, it is not. therefore i plan to do change the subs under the seats and maybe do better speakers sometime in the near future

Nice...I'm sure those shops exist here in Vancouver, I just don't know of any. I was totally prepared to replace the subs myself, and then have a shop hook up a new amp. If we're comparing US and Canada option sheets, I'm envious that you guys can get Comfort Access as a standalone option...we'd have to pony up for a CDN$3500 pkg to get that.

Yeah, it annoys everyone who gets into the passenger seat, though I don't notice it at all when I drive. But you're right, I do plan to hardwire that sucker soon
