BMW Performance Kidney Grills (Black)
I have a set of these on order (They Should Arrive Tuesday). It seems a bit more complicated to install these on the 1 series than on some of my previous vehicles.
As a person who has above average abilities when it comes to stuff like this should I do it myself ? (Possible Warrantee void ?) or pay the dealership to do it when I bring my car in next week ? Joseph

In a scale of 1-10, one being the easiest of installs and 10 being the hardest, this is def a 1. There's a few DIY guides around, dont think it took longer than 5-10 min to install it

I didn't take a really good look ... honestly it just looked like there was more "hardware" to remove.

The hardest part for me was finding a tool that would work properly, as I didn't have the "right-angle tool" described in the DIY. I finally just fashioned something myself out of a piece of wire I cut off of a coat hanger and it was no sweat after that.

Be patient. Have some very small screwdrivers and a 'tooth plaque' scraper available.
It's not hard, but if you rush it you could break something. |
