I totally agree.
Thats why I was sort of surprised to come across one for sale for cheaper than other expensive listing. At 22$, I figured it's not as bad as spending 90$.

I know I could probably pick one of these up in a few weeks at a near by store for few bucks.
But I needed to satisfy myself after I missed out on the scale model sold by bmw and also on the Minichamps model.. So I decided to pick one up a little sooner.

If they aren't not, they will be very shortly. This is not an item that will be in short supply. The real one is, the Matchbox version not at all.

I'd say its been a good 25 or 30 years since I went and looked at buying some hotwheels or matchbox cars. Went around yesterday to ToysRus, walmart, and target. No 1Ms, but wow was I ever disappointed at the lack of selection. Maybe when you are 5 the displays seem bigger, but what I saw yesterday was downright pathetic, 2 maybe 3 facings of each brands cars in each store.

36per case.

I was told to get a commitment from Mattel one would have to order 8 cases which is 288 units. I was quoted $340 for all 288- skip.

I found 10 on eBay for 15 bucks and thats including shipping.

M, I was asking how many 1Ms per case. I used to sell toys and I was going to call my contacts for cases, but if its 1-2 per 36 then its not worth it.
