Dieselspeed... can you tell us more about the 135i big brake kit? How much does the caliper adpator cost? What brake rotor is that? Some people think it could be the e46 M3 two piece rotor. ?

No, it is the Stock Disk from 1M, or M3(E92).
You need only the 6 Piston Caliper and the dieselspeed adapter in your 1M.
We build it only for 1M or M3 (E92)
It cost 2.150,- Euro

It is a 6 piston race caliper from Stop Tech.
It is nothing from 135i.

Ok. I think we are talking about two different braking kits.

YOU are talking about the 1M that was in the Sieben Getuned AutoBild article.

WE are talking about the brakes shown in THIS THREAD> on page one and page two of this thread.

Please go look at: Post #1, post #16, post #27 & #28.

Do you make that "DieselBoost" metal brake adaptor?

Do you make this adaptor in gold/Gelb? --->

Yes, we are talking about 2 different brake kits.

This brake kit (adapter), in post #1 and the other, are not from us.
We dont build brake adapters with name "dieselBoost"
We build only with name "dieselspeed"
Give me your e-mail, I will send you a picture from the dieselspeed adapter.

I am not so sure that red brake caliper is a 135i unit though. It looks more slender. ? It odes have those harmonic ballancers on the ends though.

Dack
They are the 135i calipers or similar. Brembo aftermarket calipers do not the brake lines fitted in such a way.

I don't understand why no one has made a brake caliper adapter to mount decent Brembos to our 1er's! You would think someone would have come out with a "poor mans" BBK by now. I think using some used Porsche Brembo's and metal adaptor and some off the shelf //M rotors would be the ticket! Such a simple request but no one seems to offer us a low budget big brake kit package.

I was talking with diesel boost he is from Russia. And those adapters are for our 135i brakes to fit M3 e46 motorsport edition rotors and pads. Only problem that you losing ability to fit 17 inch winter wheels and even not all 18 inch wheels will fit on them. Price of adapters if I remember well 8000 rubles you can convert them online it would be something around 200 euro w/o shipping. BTW he mentioned that local pick up is possible, not sure do they ship at all.

Have you tried a good two-piece rotor with better vane design for more air flow? Add a decent set of pads front and rear and you have an improved system over stock. Not to mention you will take off about 5 lbs on each of the front corners of the vehicle.

RimasRS... well... even the 1M/M3 brake rotors are $336 each! So $700ish isn't that bad. Still... I too was hoping for a cheap(poor mans) BBK upgrade for say $500ish.

Dack,
if you remember there may be more options in the works!

Isn't those rotors these? For the Z4M?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=34&fg=07&hl=4
GetBMWParts got them for $214 a piece.

Are these any better than the RB ones? Closer to OE thickness perhaps?

You're not going to beat the RB rotors. They're practically works of art lol

they're very nice, but there's something to be said for an increase in diameter too. ultimately i'm still holding out for a matching front and rear floating setup. ECS does this for audis, including affordable caliper upgrades as well (using the very nice 6-pot cayenne calipers). When are we due for some similar consideration?
