Bluetooth and Idrive ordering questions

Ok,

Is it possible to not have bluetooth in a new 135? I am going through order... and bluetooth is a selling point with the wife... but I was not going to opt for idrive. Is that the only package its avaliable in?

Is bt integration pretty good? I've got an iphone and will be getting the new iphone and I hear its pretty good etc. My reasoning for not getting idrive is I have factory nav on my g35, and its currently out of date and no way to update without paying a small fortune.

Anyway any advice etc would be greatly appreciated.

You get bluetooth with bmw assist. Both are included in the premium package. You do not have to have iDrive to have bluetooth, but I am really glad I ordered the iDrive.

without idrive, you have to train the bt to use voice dialing, which is a bit of a pia. still for the $ and the bad press idrive gets, i wouldn't get it.

As mentioned above, you don't need iDrive for the bluetooth, you just need BMW Assist.

It works pretty well, but the voice quality isn't great, just because of all the road noise. It's worth it for me just because you don't miss any calls while you're driving with the windows down and the radio turned up.
