If BMWNA would create the "One of 740" trim ring replacements for the US 1Ms that would be ideal.

It would be in line with what BMW has done before for other 1 series and would be much nicer than a plaque in my opinion.

But it does look like BMW uses these 'special' Start button trim pieces in various limited cars... fingers crossed!
Never say never. BMW might still have something in petto for the 1M community once the last 1M is produced (and official figures [world wide distribution] can be finally released). The marketing folks at BMW know for sure that there are lots of enthusiasts out there willing to keep the 1M hype going towards future classic motoring stardom.

I hope so.....BMW M, you guys listening out there? I still would like to know the production sequence number but the ring is nice too. I would be willing to pay BMW for the option.

What about for the US car placing it near the shifter / left hand side in the small space?

Subtle and not so Look at me as a thought.

Sorry guys, I won't be doing the plaques due to the fact that the START/STOP trim pieces have been ordered(http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=158), but I do have someone who can do them if anyone is interested. I just don't have the time to invest in it at this point. Besides, I think the rings or even the window decals look better anyways.
