Because I own a 918 as well .. but unfortunately the only local dealer in my country hasnt been able/not given a car. There were like 10-12 people who have payed advance just to book the car and get an allocation but now the dealer is having to call each customer one by one to redeam the payment and been told "Sorry ! No 911 R" .. Me as a 918 owner took advantage and thought I should be a priorety customer (like you said) but was surprised that the dealer said we have not been given any 911 R at all ! In the middle east its a very low count strangely considering the strong market for such cars. The whole story behind the 911 R is a strange one and allocations have been already managed internally back in Germany in the Porsche HQ . Unofficial story is that the 911 R were given to dealers with "good 911 sales" which I call is full BS. This 911 R marketing is very bad reputation for Porsche as it has disappointed many fans and die hard enthusiasts like me to go for one. But Im still holding my hopes up at getting one through a dealer in Germany.. *fingers crossed* |

I love the 1M and I like the fact that there are only a limited number of them. Subsequently, because of the limited nature of the car (700 worldwide) I would find it hard not to buy an M4 GTS as it is the fasted production car BMW has ever built. Much faster than the stock M4. It's downside is it won't be as functional as the 1M because there really is no back seat. The GTS is a street legal race car. The 1M feels like one. Keep your 1M and buy the GTS.

I'll hang on to the 1M until there is a decent electric replacement on the market at a price I can afford, i.e. performance-oriented, has fewer than three rows of seats, and doesn't look like clowns are about to come out of it.
At this point the list only includes used Tesla Roadsters, but that's a bit too small for my needs. Perhaps the new AA-Class Mercedes: http://jalopnik.com/saturday-night-l...pow-1771490603 Last edited by EldRick; 04-18-2016 at 05:40 PM.. |
