I was skeptical about this mod but it has really transformed the feeling of the car! I love it! I wonder how much of the difference can be attributed to the bar vs the new bushings. The new bushings are quite a bit stiffer and smaller.

Install was easy, only cost me $40 and took an hour. Also changed my spark plugs, the 135i got spoiled for her 40,000 km Birthday today

M3 bushings?

Keep hearing this is a must for handling, and you installed it on your own?

I doubt he means the rear subframe bushings. He's talking about the bushings that hold in the swaybar.

I am very interested in doing this as well? I've searched other threads and don't understand exactly what I need to order! This is only my first BMW so when u guys say e93 m3 I don't quite understand what the translated too for the year and weather it's a vert or coupe m3 part I should be ordering! Does anyone by chance have a part number or a place I can order this bar from? And does it come with the new stiffer sway bar bushings and if not do u have a part number for that? I'm really excited for this mod but just don't know what the heck to order lol! Sorry for ranting! Lol!!

Is your car a coupe or vert? If it's a coupe you may want to get the e92 M3 bar instead.

Conventional thinking would say that this mod must make the car understeer more. Question to all you guys who have this sway bar is does your car push or understeer more now? What about in the rain or snow?

My greatest fear is doing this mod and then understeering right off the autobahn at speed in the rain.

I don't notice any significant understeer - M3 E93 front sway, M3 E90/2 rear sway. Haven't had that much rain since putting it on, but I've done some high speed manuevering and it's rock solid, no fears well into triple digit MPH.

Here's a good link... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ht=m3+sway+bar

I bought the E92 Sway Bar along with other suspension upgrades... I am having them installed this week. I think the increased understeer occurs when adding the swaybar on stock suspension...

It all depends on what you are doing with your car... street or track or both.

E9X M3 swaybar is best for the street-driver / occasional track driver.

Heavy AutoX/Track I'd think something else would be more suitable due to adjustability.

Stock or mild coilovers? Get the E93 front bar.

Aggressive coilovers with high spring rates, no bar or the E90/92 front bar.

Only add the rear bar if you have or plan to add LSD.

E9x is to generalize E90, E91, E92 and E93.

Dan @ united sells the kit for $240 - did you forget a digit or somehow put together your own kit for $40 - can you explain?

Thanks!
