Cam Levers

I have 08 135i
HPFP replaced at 9K miles
Starting getting long cranks at 22K, then engine fail
Took car in and received updated software
Car seemed good for two weeks then engine fail again TWICE in three days
Took it back in for what I assumed was another HPFP problem.
This time I got this from my SA
"the codes were different from previous. HPFP is working fine, we are replacing the cam levers which caused an abnormal wear per another SI bulletin"

Anyone have this issue before I couldn't find it anywhere?

Cam levers worn at 23K miles!!!....this can't be a good omen.
Car has been in 6 times for engine fail codes in 18 months.
BMW corporate has been notified
