Ordered! 2013 128 Coupe
Same car as I have now in a (not very) different color.
Mineral Grey Metallic Black leather Anthracite wood trim Manual transmission M-Sport package Premium package Cold weather package Lighting package Harman Kardon stereo Bluetooth with BMW assist MSRP = $41,620 Paying $38,706 (invoice + $500) My son is buying my current car. I have never, ever been so satisfied with a car. And certainly not enough to get the same one again. The impetus is the last chance to get the NA in-line six and hydraulic steering. It should be easier to wait this time as I already have the car I'm waiting for.

Nice! Congratulations!
I have an appointment for my battery cable recall on the 25th; I plan to meet with my sales associate then. We will see.... I'm definitely getting M-Sport, and a stick. Premium, possibly. H/K, not too likely. I don't want to pay for BMW Assist, as I don't even own a smartphone. Heated seats, but not the whole package (will not be driven in winter). As you put it, it should be easier this time around. When I placed my first 128 order, I was driving around in my (nowadays winter-beater) Ford Focus. At least I am driving what I will be getting. |

I was prepared to check at least two other dealers but got an answer within a couple of hours. I was very cordial in the email, no pressure. My plan was not to negotiate just to email the next dealer, but I never had to. My biggest problem is that I've been without a Bimmer for two years so no $750 loyalty bonus. (Almost a deal breaker on general principles.) I also asked for, and got, a commitment for 20% off BMW parts and labor installed prior to delivery. I figure this makes my out-of-pocket cost about the same as buying online and having it installed by my "off warranty" garage, but there's no question about voiding the factory warranty. Yes, I did see the invoice and I have a copy. But I know the customer version of the invoice has dealer holdbacks and incentives that the customer usually doesn't see. (Even when the dealer says he's not making any money, he is.) All in all it seems like a fair arms-length transaction for the build I want. |

I am thinking of pulling the trigger and ordering an instant-classic. What I am thinking is trying to do Euro-Delivery on a 128i.
Almost like yours, but... Carbon Black Metallic Oyster leather Anthracite wood trim Manual transmission M-Sport package Premium package Cold weather package Lighting package Harman Kardon stereo Bluetooth with BMW assist MSRP = $41,650 With Euro-delivery I was thinking somewhere around $36-37k. What do you guys think?

The 4's are supposed to come out about 3 months before the 2's as I think the 4's arrive at dealers this fall, but 2's won't start showing up til december or early 2014.
Wonder how much those remaining 3-series coupes on lots will be discounted then. |

I admit that I did not know that the current 3 coupes are still E92 until very recently. Snatching a "left-over" 328i Coupe at the very last moment could have been another option to have a last NA I-6 BMW, although it would be very tricky.
