I'll know for sure on Tuesday when I sign the paperwork, but that is what my CA and Finance guy have drawn up for the sale.

My understanding is the $1k can be claimed if you pay cash (it is the alternative to the BMWFS rate reductions), and 3rd party financing is basically the same as cash to the dealer since they are still getting a check for the full amount of the car.

Could be wrong or misguided on this, but I'll post back when I pick up the car.

OK so it seems unanimous this is a Buy car, and it's true lease numbers are quite unattractive, so one less decision to make...

Picked up the car today and I can confirm you get the $1k in cash regardless of how you finance if you are eligible for the loyalty program.

They just applied the discount the purchase price so I also got a tiny break on sales tax. So I ended up with $1k under MSRP thanks to BMWFS.

Ok so let me get this straight: so far I know because I'm a returning customer I can get a 1% rate reduction on financing. Do I pick between the 1% reduction or the $1000 cash back? Or can both be applied?

Thanks!

(maybe because they get their money before I even see it?) I financed my purchase at 2.49%

As someone else mentioned, the lease rates for this car are laughable.

You can only choose one of the three options - $1k cash, 1% finance rate reduction, or .0003 MF reduction on a lease.

But since BMWFS finance rates are high for this car 3.9%/36mo or 4.9%/37mo+, your best approach is to finance somewhere else where you can get an even lower rate, and use the $1k to lower the purchase price.

Bought mine.....worth every penny (and that's a lot more pennies for my 1M than for what you pay in the US since MSRP in Peru is at about $70k!).
Congrats and enjoy it!

M3 cheaper on lease as well in UK. BMW leasing offered me 9.9 percent so your US figures make interesting reading. I bought in the end - plan to keep for many a year (although I recall saying this with previous cars!!)
