Jeremy is notorious for hating on BMW! Except for some of the old models, and the M5!
Ok so maybe he is 50/50 with them. Barely! Either way his opinion is moot! It doesn't change the fact that its a great car, whether he likes it or not. In any case... I can't wait to see him Flog it on the track, and then hand it over to the STIG!!!! :-)

No, I watch it a lot. But he is clearly more in love with MB then BMW from what I see and know of him. It might be cause he has owned more MB in past.

Also, no I did not miss the last review of M3 competition pkg. In fact I watched it and came away with an understanding that he thinks competition pkg. makes the M3 worse and you are actually better off buying a non competition pkg. M3. He also disliked the unique matte silver paint and uses sarcasm towards stop and go feature, cant figure out why the car automatically shuts off facing backward. He likes the handling of the M3 but he think it was good with or without the competition pkg. So nothing very impressively new. Well the good thing is that he does not like Audi RS5 either. Now if there was a MB C63 with new performance pkg. I am pretty sure he would have liked it.

Clarkson is more MB man then BMW and that is why he recently even owned more Benz's then BMW.

Here is the episode.....I guess we are viewing different things since you think he liked it and I came away thinking he was not very impressed with the competition pkg.

This is an entirely different statement.. Up till now everyone has simply been saying that he does like BMWs, and he does acknowledge this, while he also enjoys bagging on BMW owners.. If anything.. he detests the stereotypical BMW *owner*, but not their car.... As far as liking Mercedes better... yes, I agree, he definitely prefers Mercedes models, because he loves cars that have a ton of torque, ala the C63.

no offense, but jeremy if he even does portray a negative opinion on the car will have no balancing effect whatsoever on all nutt swingers who have reviewed it already. The car has beat everything in its class, and I am sure a few of the articles if testing it against like a 458 or a gallardo would have it neck and neck.

It is a great car, but emotions are running high right now. after the cloud 9 falls from the sky a little, there will be more "non-biased" reviews.

Clarkson is awesome, but i really dont care if he likes the car or not. He doesn't like the E85 Z4 because its too stiff or "harsh". he might not like the 1M for the same reason or he might love it. I want to hear what he has to say, but I'll judge for myself...thank you very much.

Don't forget that Clarkson, and the others for that matter, are first and foremost entertainers. That's how the show's format has evolved and that's what rates with viewers. You only need to note the type of headline car they typically feature. The mad stuff that most people can only dream about. Look at the amount of women who watch it and actually enjoy it. No offense meant to the ladies but a dry motoring show done like "Practical mechanics" and full of technical jargon simply doesn't win them over.
Will the 1M be a hit? Of course it will, it'll be all sideways and burnouts in typical Top Gear style.
I'm more interested to see how the Stig goes.
