MY08 .vs. MY09 Problems/Issues

We strive for perfection at 1addicts, it's obvious, however I address this question to mainly MY09 owners.

I quiver hearing some of these stories about problems/issues with the 1 series (many which I notice come from MY08 owners, seeing as how MY09 is fairly new)

My question, plain and simple, have any 09 owners experienced "clone" issues if you will as other 08 owners?

2 weeks till delivery...so this passes time

I'm not sure what you mean by "clone" issues. Be a bit more specific. I haven't had any problems with my 09, I've only had it just under 2 weeks but nothing yet. BTW the new iDrive is amazing!

Could you be a tad more specific as to "these stories about problems/issues" to which you refer?
My experience (and reading of this MB) is that the 1er is gawd damn near bullet proof from a reliability and quality perspective.

browsing here often, I see multiple things.

anything from lag, vibration, wind noise, fuel pumps, stereo crackles, all the way to the scent of the leather in the vehicle.

there seems to be a new "problem/issue" posted here almost daily!

EDIT: thanks for posting that other thread, I suppose there's no need for this. Covered everything on this website already! lol

The High pressure fuel pump is a know issue that seems to be more than a rare occurrence. I have a June 08 build and have not had any issues other than an airbag light that had to be fixed by replacing a seat belt mechanism.
I'm only at 4,500 miles tho.

I'm very happy with the choice I made. The car is comfortable and fast. And now that premium fuel is around $2.45 a gallon here, economical too.
