Where do you see that? Looks nothing like that of the E90, E92, E93 335i. See the pic of the E92 (coupe) 335i below. |

And without integration of brake lights on the trunk lid, ie the middle part of the back end, I think the rear looks rather plain. I was hoping for a close resemblance to the E92 rear... |

True dual exhaust would probably add unnecessary weight to the car. I think this is a good clean look and it still looks sporty with the dual tips. I agree w/ an earlier poster that the fake diffuser is played out. I'm not sure if the plain bumper would have looked better.

2 pipes on one side just doesn't look as good as a pipe on each side, IMO. |

i agree with you there. its definitely more sporty looking in my opinion. the 1er taillights are ok though, kind of classy. almost a fisheye effect on that pic so im not reading too much into proportions. if thats the 135 then that should be the msport rear bumper? ie. whatever happened to this one? ^^i guess we got ourselves an M1? |

It's the same rear end. You just can't see it that clearly but you can make out the opening on the undisguised shot the taped up version outlines.
The blackout treatment reminds me of the E46 M-tech rear bumper:

From CarScoop.com
We’ll just bypass the fugly looking, upside-down 3-Series Coupe/7-Series taillights and the fact that this is the first totally undisguised picture of the 1-Series Coupe and we’ll get straight to the point; is the “135i” decorative license plate for real? Does this picture confirm the rumors that BMW will equip the forthcoming 1-Series with the renowned 306Hp strong 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six? Hard to say due to the poor quality of the image, but before you start having doubts due to the absence of the dual exhaust pipes featured in the 335i (one on each side of the bumper), let us remind you that the 535i has the same style exhaust pipes as the “135i” shown here. As for the image itself, it looks like someone managed to scoop it during some sort of BMW presentation or commercial/brochure shoot-out, via a cell-phone camera |
