yeah unfortunately i have to use beta maps as the non-beta maps gives me misfires

shouldn't it be the other way around? have you tried replacing your spark plugs? I am pretty sure that is a common cause of misfires.

nah the fixes for the misfires are in the later beta versions.

I have tried V4 and V5 (non beta) and it still gave me mis fires.

I haven't tried changing the spark plug but with the beta maps the misfires dissapear so I haven't had the need to change it.

To get the v5 you have to buy the unit right?

I had the V4 unit and its just of matter of downloading the V5 firmware and the maps to suite your transmission very simple, and i did the wiring update as well, which is not compulsory but is recommended.
But new 6-14 firmware and maps are very very smooth and fast.
