So far I like what I see. In this video it says "step 3" in the title.

Anyone like to take a guess as to what "step 4" video will be about?

Sure hope it doesn't show the 1M in "limp home" mode!

Really starting to dislike the non-vent side crease thing and I laughed when I watched the video of a car with no CF roof and a completely normal 1er hood.

I agree with those that say the side crease looks out of place. It seems like it was put in so that they didn't have to spend money manufacturing new doors.

Anyone know if the doors on the 1M the same as a standard model?

Of course they are the same doors. BMW is not going to incur the considerable retooling costs for a limited production car with a one year life cycle.

"pyrat" was the internal development code name for the car. Inspiration, presumably, from a bottle of rum of the same name.

Danm I had to go take a spirited drive in my 1er after seeing this vid. The only things I didn't like was the eyelids and the side vent seems out of place

I'm conflicted

I love the size and look of this car. Its awesome looking, better than I expected many, many months ago.

After a 335 with the n54, it just wasn't a drive I could get excited about. Torque is fun...for a week. Then I just get bored with it. Its such a shame. With a high revving NA motor, it would be in my garage. I'm curious if it will run out of steam like my old n54 did which made it a less exciting drive than I was hoping for. :-(

Plus, I didn't like having to get new turbos and HPFP.
