CF Mirror Caps

Is this a good price, or can me going into the dealer asking for a discount get me below this price?

And there is this set of CF Mirror caps... but I would assume OEM parts would be better?

I would give your local dealer a shot. Tell them you could buy them online for less and see what they can sell them to you for. The BMW Performance CF stuff is really so well made. I would not go with cheap ebay clones. My dealer always comes close or better to online prices I see. Plus I don't have to wait or pay for shipping over here!

I thought a pair of BMW perf mirror covers was under $550. But looking at Dan@United site they are $300 each.

It also looks like the black grilles have gone up in price too. Was $80 now $100. So... I can't really complain too much.

The second ones are not complete replacements, they are taped on over your existing caps.

The first ones are a good price though. I would make an offer of $500.

Yah. I might just wait till someone tries and sells theirs on the forum though. Not in any rush. Just window shopping.

So I'm picking up my 135 tonight after having the ECU flashed, some recalls done, serviced etc.. While I was waiting I noticed they had a brand new set of BMW Performance CF Caps for the 1 series in the cabinet. The price was $285. I told the guy behind the counter that it seemed way low, he checked and said they had them since 2/2010 when they were ordered for a customer and never picked up. The manager came out and said if I bought them they'd go ahead and put them on for the $285 price. I said do it! But no sooner did he pull them out he said "oh that $285 is each". I said nah forget it, I'm not spending that on them. So he says "will you take the pair for $300"...long story short..new BMW CF Caps installed. Man they look so good.. Right place at the right time!

Wow... I would die for a set for 300. I don't think they budge for anything below 500... since they retail at least 375$ a piece.

Yeah I hear you man...I didn't really want to drop $300 today but there is no way I could pass it up. I can't bring myself to spend 6 or 7 hundred on a set.

Yea, but then again its OEM and you pay for that label. iCarbon does have a close second to OEM on caps though!

I am assuming your an 08-09 model by your mirrors? Well whenever your in the mood to sell your caps ill be more than happy to buy them from you!

You're so right, you are paying for that label. Had I not stumbled on these I would have waited for and gone with the iCarbons as well.
Tell you what, should the time come, I'll make you a deal! But even my girl liked them..she said "oooo it looks like snake scales". I said "yeah baby it does...just like snake scales". Lol...

These were xmas presents for my financee and her 135i. I got them from another member here for $250. Great deal.

Next up will be the carbon spoiler...and of course, she's also asking me about the CF diffuser.

Dam those look good!

Im thinking the spoilers up next for me too but I'm torn between the whole trunk or just the spoiler in CF...I can't decide if I like the look or not. I could always paint it but i hate to cover up good CF weave too. The spoiler seems to be just enough so I'm leaning that way right now.

Man I love those spoilers..and that rear diffuser is insane!! The CF was understated on all of those cars, I like that.

So much money! I would love to upgrade my 128 like that but 2700$ for a performance package is quite ridiculous!
