Sad day, sold my 1M
After 4.5 months I have sold my 1M back to BMW, its a great car, very fast and great fun.
For me as a daily driver it was a little too firm and noisy (I must be getting old!), but fantastic when I was in the mood for some back road driving. I still miss my M3, although the 1M is definitely a better, faster and more exciting sports car, but the M3 is a better every day car. |

Did you get a good price from BMW? Use it as part exchange? Have you replaced it with anything yet? All the best, Mark. |

nooooo!
although i must admit that my first thought was: damn this setup is stiff for everyday use - and long distance drives - especially when you had edc in previous cars

Will be interesting to see what the dealer lists it for. Anyone want to speculate? 5000 pounds over MSRP? (Did I write that correctly? Don't know where the L pound symbol is on my Yankee keyboard )

haha was thinking the same thing! well, good luck with the new car. sorry to see that it wasn't a good fit for ya, but everyone's different. should've sold it to someone on the board...i bet someone would've given you pretty much all your money back on it, but then again...it could've been a lot harder to private sell it.

UK BMW cant ask any more than the list price, i bought mines with 1000miles on the clock and paid less than list price as BMW wouldnt let them ask a penny more
Its the shady "non BMW" approved dealers that are asking much more than list. |

I was told they would list it for £4000.00 over list.
I was very happy with what I got back for the car, and non of the problems with selling privatley. Also when you consider the XFR I am buying I think has lost £25K in 6 months / 3000 miles! |

The XFR has already lost its money so probably won't cost much more over the next 3 years. |

I'm curious if the dealership actually told you they were going to sell for $4k pounds over why didnt you sell it yourself?
Or better yet why not make even one post on this forum and sell it to a fellow 1m addict? Since you didn't make anything off it anyway you could have saved the new buyer $4k pounds that the dealership now makes plus you would have been giving back big time to this forum. |

The episode was very distressing and it took 5 months for my youngest daughter to stop waking up screaming in the middle of the night. I am sure most people would understand, also the main dealer is bound to get a better price than I would, yes I may have made a £2000.00 profit but to me it wasn't worth the risks. |

Why? I'd really like to get to the bottom of this as still keen to get one. Not practical, too much in yer face, tell me more. O, and this one looks familiar: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3251544.htm Also, just did a we buy any car on one of the cars for sale, 27k so 4k under is not bad.
