BQ Tuning 1M

Decided to drop this off here if you don't visit the main N54 thread. This is not the only 1M that I tuned I have tuned many of them especially those that attend racing events.

Here is some dyno work done with a 1M FBO+ on just 93 octane, no meth, just straight 93 US octane. We were doing some tests on previous afe Stage 2 CAI vs the new completely sealed aFe GT Momentum. I also decided to throw my Z4 6MT in for shnits and giggle. We have to revisit as shop temps and DA got higher and the intake was disconnected from the air snorkel to the air box during the runs

1M FBO+ Stock Turbos on straight 93 US Pump Gas. This car has never touched E85 and never touched meth

The first two pulls, starting from the top, were done on the aFe Stage 2 SI intake. The last 3 pulls were done on the new aFe GT Momentum intake that is completely sealed. By time we installed the intake and all the car that were running in the shop, we went out to get couple of pulls for the DME to adapt, shop temps increased significantly along with DA. We ended up losing about like 5-8 points in load due to the temps change, but will be going back again for another run

Here is the E89 Z4 FBO+ 6MT 20 PSI, with a boost leak, running on E60-E70 fuel stock turbos

Hi BuraQ

I'm a little confused, are you the tuner that tunes the Wedge maps? And who does the wedge custom maps?

Also what are the bolt-ons the 1M is running? FBO seems to a fungible acronym.

I used to be partnered with WedgePerformance ie Ken, not anymore. All my maps for MHD and COBB are initialed with "BQ" example BQ93.... BQE40..., BQE60...., BQE85.... etc. If the map does not have my initials it's not my tuning. I only do custom tuning at this time.

Also, MHD OTS maps are a WedgePerformance product specifically in which I have no association with.

Ill let the OP owner answer the specifics on his mods.

Waking up old thread.

BuraQ, are you able to eTune a Cobb accessport if the end user does not have ATR?

I am onboarding as a part time tuner for a local COBB ProTuner and dealer. When I have completed my onboarding process with the shop then I will be able to tune on the COBB AP side again.

I have people on a waiting list, so feel free to join the list by sending me an email bq@************* so you can be notified when I am up and running again with COBB
