17" Arc-8s for the street?

Been trying to gauge if running the square 17" arc-8s (17x8.5 et40) with a 235 width tire would rub on stock sport suspension. Seems like most run the 17's as a track tire and thus go 245 and wider, necessitating camber plates and/or fender work. I'd prefer to avoid and would just like a street setup. If I stick to 235, would I still run into problem with the +40 offset? Thx

I ran 245 squared on 17s with Michelin pilot super sports with no problem. My car is lowered and I Run -2.5 camber front and -2.4 in the rear. This was my track set up for last year. Just got a set of Nitto NT01s in 235/40/17 and will replace my PSS on my 17s before my next track day. BTW offset on my 17s is +40.

Some 235 tires are as wide as 245/255. Next your stock suspention may lesson the need to roll rears, but I dont recall any evidence of this - see the long Wheel thread, maybe some one did something similar like the 128i with Style 5 wheels recently.

If you dont want to roll Rear fenders, look up my bearing/hub mod - its best done on a 128i anyway

Im running 18in Arc-8s square setup on my 128 with 235 tires and not even close to rubbing. Mine happen to be for sale with under 1000 miles on them for only $1000, HUGE discount over new, no tax or shipping cost. PM me

I'm thinking about the square 18 setup as we'll. good to hear you didn't have any issues. I'm thinking I'm going with silver though for that oem plus look.

I have about -2 camber front and rear. I would like to run 245 wide tires in the front for track days. However I don't want to roll my fenders and I'm currently running Apex EC7 wheels 18X8.5 ET 45 front with 235/40/18 tires and rear 18X9.5 ET 62 265/35/18. Can I run Apex ARC8 17X8.5 ET 40 with 245/40/17 tire up front with out rubbing? Do I need spacers? I would run this as a square set up.
