Simonnn's 135i (BSM with Work VS-XX content inside!)

Simonnn's 135i

Hi Everyone! I've been mainly lurking around the Australia section of 1Addicts for the last 2 years or so and thought it was probably about time I made one of these introduction threads. I have always tried to keep the mods simple and to the point!

The Good Stuff

Cosmetic
  • LCI Blackline Tailights
  • Carbon Fibre Diffuser
  • Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler
  • Matte Black Kidney Grilles
  • LUX V3 Angel Eyes
  • BMW Performance Alcantara Shift Knob + Boot
  • EZ Lip!

Performance
  • JB4 G5 Tune
  • CP-E Dual Cone Intakes
  • Evolution Racewerks Chargepipe
  • Synapse Blow Off Valve
  • aFe Axle Back Exhaust
  • CDV Delete

Suspension/Wheels
  • Megan Racing Coilovers
  • E93 M3 Front Sway Bar
  • Work VS-XX Rims

Photos

Some of you might have seen my redrill thread in the wheels section to get the Works converted from 5x114.3 to 5x120. Needless to say I am very happy with how they turned out.. However, we all know the modding bug never ends so there is always room for improvement!

Thanks for dropping by!
Simon

Car looks fantastic! Can you elaborate a bit on the lip process? Front lip looks super clean (as does the rest of the car).

That's the one Nugget! was sceptical as to how it would turn out on the car but I thought I'd give it a shot for the price. Quite like how it turned out actually

As for the installation process, you just unwrap the ezlip and stick it on with double sided tape and the cut the edges to fit to your liking!

Looks suprisingly good.
Do you have any close up pics?
Also did you think about putting it on the side skirts as well?

I'd also be keen to see a few close up pics. I hadn't heard of the Ezlip before now.

Nice setup! I enjoy how you went a different route than most with the wheels. It isn't often I see 1s with that much lip. So.....

What is the Width and offset of the wheels?

What size tires?

Any rubbing? Are you rolled? Camber?

Will get some close up pics of the lip over the weekend and post them up for you guys

I've had mine on since the start of the year and its still stuck on very well, even with the minor incidents here and there because the car has been lowered it somehow still manages to stay in shape. However, I know my friend who also tried one of these has had a very different experience (been through two so far which have both ripped off his car)

Wheels are 18x8 +38 and 18x9 +38. Tyres are stock run flats atm (215 fronts and 245 rears). I have rolled and slightly pulled the rear guards but left the front untouched, no rubbing at all during daily driving (even if taking corners hard). However, I think i heard a bit of rubbing the other day while I was going up a really steep driveway but nothing to be alarmed over. Natural camber so I'm not sure of exact specs, however from visual inspection it looks to be around -2 to -2.5 degrees

Thanks for the comments guys, happy to answer any other questions or even get more pics for the curious ones. Honestly wasn't expecting so much interest in that ezlip but I suppose I must be one of the only 1ers who tried one on the car!
