Michelin Run-Flats for those who are interested...

Well, for those who are interested, I found out some info from Michelin about Run-flats for our Sport pkg 330i. They are coming out soon and here are the part #s and Descriptions.

Fronts: Michelin Pilot Sport 2: 225/40ZR18 PS2 88Y ZP (84568)
Rears: Michelin Pilot Sport 2: 255/35ZR18 PS2 90Y ZP (15999)

The ZP of course stands for Zero Pressure(Run Flats)
also notice they are Y rated tires (up to 160 mph)better than both V and W of course)
Hope this helps those who are interested.

Found out what ?

They have been fitting them since start of production.

Nearly all the early 18" European cars had them on

i have seen many batches with them on here

If you have seen them in european cars that is fine and dandy, but here in the USA they are not available yet hence, none of our cars come with them and we love michelin tires

We have no Michelin Tires that will fit Sport Pkg Rims that are Run- Flats. We have regular tires but not Run-Flats.

Interesting

The W rated "PS2 Zero pressure" 's are listed for USA cars, but they were probably not fitted because you cant get replacements yet.

Dont know why they dont list the Y rated ones for USA cars

True. I looked for Michelin RFTs for the stock 16" and didn't find any. Pilots are great tires. They HAVE to be better than these Bridgestone Turanzas. Choices are always good!

Thanks for the info. I'm not overly impressed with the Bridgestones that I have on my 330i. At the moment, there is no alternative RFT in NA.
I've sent an email to Tirerack asking them when Michelin RFTs will be available for the 330i sport. When received, I'll post their response.

michelin

I've done the BMW performance center driving schools, and when I went last they said that you should get the dealer to put on Michelin, and not the Bridgestones. But they aren't an option, Yet!

Are they designed for summer or all-season?
