Decided to sell my 1M. Haven't taken possession yet as it's due to arrive around 10/20 in Indianapolis, IN. Currently have an M Coupe and just don't feel like the 1M will be a suitable replacement as I've decided not to own two cars. I think that the TT RS is much closer to the M Coupe (hatchback, nearly the same interior and exterior dimensions, etc)

This is not a lease takeover. I've purchased the car and am making a cash sale.

So you dont have it yet but are selling your spot? Why not tell the dealership so someone else who is on the waiting list can get it or are you looking to make a profit?

seriously interested

I've been following all this 1M craziness like a hawk like most on this forum...read your past posts, but wasn't sure if you really meant what you said or if allocation was real.

I can't PM obviously b/c I don't necessarily want to post for the sake of posting.

it's been painful trying to get my hands on one... as with everyone. bidding, winning, not making reserve... all this BS.

If it's still available - I'd appreciate it if we can connect. please let me know how I can contact you or vice versa.

- Win

Why, exactly, are people bagging on private sellers who ask for more than MSRP for the car?

No one, not even the dealers, is obliged to sell you the car at MSRP. In case you weren't aware the 'S' in MSRP stand for Suggested. Just because you would like to get a rare, low-volume, performance car at MSRP the world is not obliged to provide you with one.

If you don't want to buy at above MSRP, don't.

Simple-Simon - PM sent. We briefly discussed this a few weeks back but at this time you were still undecided. Please contact me if you have not found a buyer.

If its not delivered yet you can back out of that sale and just put that cash towards the M.
