WTB: 128i, '10 or '11, Southeast
Hi all, new to the forum. Since getting an X5 last year I have the BMW bug. If anyone wants to part with a 128i coupe (not vert) and is within decent range of Atlanta, pls post. Color/Equipment does not matter greatly except it needs to be an automatic. Years should be either 2010 or 11, but will consider an exceptional 09 if well priced. Thanks for your attention. |

Thanks all for the responses. I am sorry if I wasted your time, but I am not looking at the 1 series any more.
I was sure this was the car for me. We liked the looks, enjoyed the first test drive we took in it, and it met our budget. However this past weekend, we drove it again, and neither my wife nor I could 'feel the magic' that would make us trade out. Then we tried the 335 sedan and whoa, that was very nice. Of course, a slightly bigger car and a much more powerful engine, but it wasn't that so much as the overall feel of the handling and chassis. Definitely late coming to the party but now I see why there is such a cult following for the 3. Now I have to see if I can fit it into the budget, and even if it might be a better idea to wait for the new model. Kinda confused at this point. Again, appreciate your postings and good luck! |

Yes the fact that everyone has a 3 is a bit of a drag and may prevent me from going there (but ultimately is only one factor, and I hope I can relegate it to secondary status in my mind). So no, I have not "gone with" a 3 series. Yet. As I said, a little confused right now, will keep working on it. Maybe I'll look at the 1 again in a while. One irritant really is that the dealers in my area don't let you take out the cars any more by yourself. So it's a bit of a job to focus on the car while this person is next to you (even if one does tell him to shut up). Also the extra person's weight doesn't help. |

Test a MB C350 Coupe
You may want to test the new C350 before you decide. With the dynamic handling package it is only about $45-46k and is very rewarding to drive. I had s 128i Sport and am very satisfied with the MB.

If you have changed your mind about the 1 series, please see the 2011, 128i coupe (automatic) I just posted in this same section. The car is space metallic gray, boston gray leather interior, has premium package and value package, satillite radio and an alarm. The car is in Columbia, SC!
