Charge Pipe oops
So I installed My ER charge pipe today, and upon completion I accidentally broke off the little plastic nipple on the intake manifold that connects the silicone hose to the top of the tail BOV.. What's the purpose of that little bastard and what do i do now?
Also, has anyone noticed that the charge pipe doesn't fit super snug to the intake even with the oring and that weird clip in place it still moves a bit..

Pretty sure that nipple and vacuum line is extremely important. I wouldn't drive spirited at all until you can find a way to fix that. I believe my charge pipe fit that same way as well.

You did a bad thing. Without that nipple you will not hold proper boost and will cause a check control message.
Your best bet is to take it to someone who knows what they are doing and can drill and tap the manifold and install a screw in barbed nipple. Otherwise you need a replacement intake manifold. Glueing the piece back on doesn't really work. Its under pressure and will pop back off. |

sorry to thread jack but do you have to connect the BOV directly to it? Or can you just keep the "Y" nipple connector that ran to the stock DV's and cap one side off?

Well you can't put the vacuum in place which that means no boost going through. I did this to a buddy's car in my garage, totally just broke off. I got glue and tried, didn't work. My father which is a car tech for over 30 years came and fixed it in about 5 mins. I don't know exactly how (I will ask and get back to you). I'm just letting you know that it is possible to fix it!

Pull the manifold. Do a walnut blast, tap a small brass npt nipple where the tab broke. You'll be fine afterwards. Use a adhessive on the fitting on the outside after installed.
