European Delivery?

How many of you did European Delivery? Would you do it again? What are your thoughts on it?

I'm going to do ED in July end. Will update at that time.
But seems like everybody who did ED is completely thrilled by the experience !

I had no idea what it involved when I ordered my car. After reading some reviews on how amazing it was I plan on doing it with my next bmw.

I've did it two years again and am doing it again. If you have the time and patience, it is the only way to buy a BMW IMHO.

I would say that even if there were no financial benefits.

On the 1 series, perhaps only the Lufthansa 2-4-1 deal: buy one ticket, get the 2nd one free.

On the 3 series (and X3 before that), we saved around 11% off MSRP - which paid for a big chunk of vacation. In addition to the Lufthansa deal.

It was fabulous, I plan to do it again next year for the 1 series - hopefully by that time there will be the usual 7% discount (with ED cars no longer coming from dealer allocations).

A minimum of 7%. Right now that is about what you will get but once the ED allocation appears you will be able to get as much as 15%.

As I understand it, there is no ED 7% discount on the 1 at the moment.

That is because all cars come from the normal North American dealer's allocation.

So at this time, all you can get is whatever discount the dealer is willing to give you, plus the Lufthansa 2-4-1 deal should you choose to go that way.

No, there is still the 7% ED discount. I ordered in January, and got the 7% lopped off right there.

I ordered in March and got 1k over ED invoice so it's possible to get deals.

With that being said, the first dealership I went to was only offering me ED MSRP. So if they're telling you that there's no discount, find another dealer.

The 7% discount exists no matter what on the 135i. Dealers willing to an ED must sell the car based on ED pricing which is either ED MSRP or ED Invoice. ED MSRP is 7% below US MSRP and ED Invoice is about 15% below US MSRP.

So right now if the dealer is willing to do ED, you get at least 7% off and if you get the right dealer you can get closer to 15% off.

Once there is an ED allocation then most of the sales will be based off of ED Invoice, or it will at least be easier to find a dealer willing to negotiate from ED Invoice instead of ED MSRP.

So did you get that price from your dealer without having to pick up in Munic?
