Well, the only Montego blue cars we'll be seeing from here on out are used cars since they stopped production of the color in February, and it's not included for 2013 models. It's a shame because it is a beautiful color, and it gives those of us who don't go for the M sport package (and LeMans blue) a way of getting a nice shade of blue.

I wonder if our cars are twins?

I am...

We both have 128s... what do you have in yours? I have 6MT, sport package, heated seats. I have the windows done, some LEDs in the grill(e), and the clutch stop. Wanting to do the CV delete.

I have the Savannah Beige interior...

It was funny, really, I was all set to ink the deal on a CPO grey 328xi when this 1er rolled in - the guy was trading up to a 335... Needless to say we made up a whole new deal and now I have the 128! I never even knew 1's existed; they had none at the dealer. What a pleasant surprise - everything I wished the 328 had was right there. And 17K miles vs. 48K miles was a much better sitch. Better warranty too - a year newer than the 328.

Traded a Z3 and a MINI in on the car.

We have one, and somebody a town or two over also has an identical one. I have never seen any others though, and there's lots of 1's on the road in our area now.

@ Dorkdog

We have similar options, the most important being 6MT of course. Have invested in mods like most here. Retrofitted euro bi xenons and sport seats. Swapped the dampers with Bilsteins and added the M3 front sway bar. Love this car.

What bi xenons did you retrofit? I am really wishing the car had the adaptive headlights if I can retrofit them I'd do it. Is that what you did?

Xenons

The adaptive setup would have been nice but requires add'l parts and is more costly. I went the static route which provides the improved lighting and is easier to DIY. Sourced the parts from Europe.

Garage List
Obviously there are the "blue" cars out there but I agree. I have Le Mans blue and there are not many of them either. For the most part I believe people choose "safe" colors like white and black and silver. Boring in my mind really. Choose a color that makes a statement and is an extension of your personality!!!!!!
